First of all, my buddy gave me the 1.0 version. I've installed it to a different directory than what the game automatically installs to. I downloaded the 1.1 patch, but it doesn't install to the directory where I put the game. Does anyone know what the exact directory location for the patch is?

Also, how is 1.4 different from 1.0??? or is 1.4 just the demo? I downloaded the demo a while ago, and that's why I hounded my buddy for his 1.0 version when his computer died on him.....

Also.....I can't login online. Have they shut down the servers for the 1.0 version???

1.0 is the old version whic his not supported anymore. 1.4 is the new updated version that is supported and the one that is discussed on this site.

Who decided what the version # should be.....when a company STOPS supporting a version (1.0 for example) then the next version should be the 2nd version (2.0)!!! 1.0 - 1.1 is a patch......therefore.....1.1 - 1.4 should ALSO be a downloadable patch! I bought version 1.0. AND 1.4 means it is STILL VERSION 1, but with REVISION #4. Therefore, why the hell should I have to buy version 1 all over again, and basically install ALL THE SAME files ALL OVER AGAIN with a few extra files added on??? Because that's basically what the version number states......The program is STILL version 1 but also comes with the 4th set of revisions/add-ons to the program.

Why can't I purchase just the revision #4??? Sounds like this program is gouging it's customers worse than the gas companies are!!! Pfft.....buy the same program twice..... I'll be racing you all online shortly!

I think the issue is that Daydream owned the rights to the original game and it was sold to the new company, Resolution Interactive.

In order for you to get a NEW username to play on their NEW server/system, you need to purchase the NEW version form them for $20.00.

It is the account you are really paying for. Without it, you can't play. I understand what you are saying, but you are dealing with two different companies.

Well.....I'm gonna contact Resolution and complain then.....for now I guess I'll stick to my Cabela's Big Game Hunter 2006.
