: Differences Between 93 And 98 Venture?

Hi, I am currently printing the owner's manual for the 1998 Yamaha Venture 485 sled which I downloaded off the Yamaha website. Unfortunately, the manuals don't go back any earlier than 1998. I know that the newer Venture TR's LOOK identicle to mine.....right up until 99 or 2000 I believe (we're talking the "work" machines here, not the newer Venture luxury tourings which have the new style front ends).
Yamahammer posted a 2000 "work machine" flyer image here: The venture in question is the bottom pic.

Anyway, anyone know how different this sled is from my 1993 as far as owner's manual content would be concerned?

Thanks

Maybe just a few things like track tension, sliders and heated grips.

Reason I say this is that I cannot tell by your pic if your skidframe is the "rear flip" such as on that pic I posted. This means that as you go in reverse, the last foot or so of the skidframe pivots up due to the rotation of the track and force of the terrain. This allows you to reverse very well as it is it givin an attack angle at the snow besides being totally flat.

Dont know if your sled has the warmers but yamaha did stick with the same phazer design for years so chances are that there isnt many differences, if none at all.

Same thing meme chose

Your sled is a 93 Venture XL which is the exact same as the 98 Venture XL

here are your pogo style Ventures

They made 4 versions over the years

Venture XL 121inch track 2up seat
Venture GT 121inch track single seat
Venture TF has a 151inch track
Venture TR has a 136inch track ES is optional

So the only dif that 98 Venture TR has from your 93 Venture is the longer track and rack at the back,EVERYTHING ELSE IS THE SAME

Even a 90-98 Phazer II manual would be good for you except it would not have the reverse gear info

Hope this helps :)
