: Problem With Ski Spindles Bushings Seized.

doing my annual checkup on my sled . and noticed the skis are siezed up solid. no up and down movement at all. so i take off the skis and the bushing are stuck in the ski spindles. ANY TIPS ON GETTING THE BUSHINGS OUT. ??????i dont even want to think about the cost of new spindles. w00t :bash:

Up & down movement is controlled by the A-arms and the shock. So do you mean your shocks are locked up and won't compress? If this is your problem then you just need to replace/rebuild the shocks and this has nothing to do with your spindles. And if your bushings are stuck in the spindles, I assume this means you got the spindles out of the trailing arm. If so, the bushings are plastic and real cheap....so if they're stuck, just break them off the spindle and replace them. Or do you mean the spindles are stuck in the trailing arm?

Not sure exactly what the problem is to be able to help you.

I tap a thread into them then screw in a bolt. Using a punch, drive the seized ba$tard out the other side.
