It's tough to get any real power out of an older, small engine machine without doing EVERYTHING. If I were you, I'd look for an old Exciter 440 with a good motor but bad everything else. Just drop the 440 into the enticer. It will fit. Should be able to pick up an Exciter 440 with junk track and suspension for really cheap (cheaper than buying aftermarket exhaust). Then, do a few small modifications, and start playing with it.

As well......with that old leaf spring suspension, you don't want too much top speed. My 82 SS440 would run 90 mph on radar, and if the conditions weren't perfectly smooth and flat, it was nothing short of SCARY AS HELL!!!

I highly doubt you are going to be able to get much more out of modding that stock exhaust. It most likely isn't very well suited to producing more power by its design. You would be much better off to save your money to put towards a better machine. Clean the carbs and clutches, get them working the best you can and ride it. That machine isn't going to perform much better once modded, and the reliability will likely drop.
