I have a 1994 T-cat and the spark is very weak. The colder the engine is the weaker the spark. If I start the sled in my heated shop I can drive it all day without a problem but if I let it sit outside all night I have no spark in the morning or very weak spark. I posted this problem last year and was told it was my CDI so I replaced it with a different CDI purchased from Ebay. The problem still exists with the different CDI. Either I have two bad CDI's that act the same or I have a different problem. Could this be a stator problem? Please let me know what you think.

Yes, it cold be a stator issue.

Bypass at the main four-prong and verify the issue still exists FIRST. Do not skip this setp. Then carefully inspect and verify your ground. Then move to running the gauntlet of ignition system tests including the stator.
