I've just completed a long track conversion on my Cat 700 ZL (121 to 136"). As expected I've noticed a performance loss on launch. The engine is around the 4500 RPM range when it starts moveing.

I know I need to change my gears to recover the performance but I don't have any idea which gear to change and what to change it to. As far as I know the sled still has the factory gears.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks. I thought I'd change to a 20 tooth top but found out (the hard way) that you can't do a 20/40 combination. Fortuntaly I found someone with some experience and I ended up with a 20/39 which seems to be working well.

Can't wait for the real snow !
