I have heard that thes sleds are clutched pretty good for trail riding. What helix and weigts does it have and what combo have you guys found that works good. Just looking for a good set-up for trail riding. Just want a little better response. That always makes it alot more fun to ride. Any suggestions appreciated. http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

I have a good lake set up but backshift is worse than stock.

Everyone I've talked to says go w/ a team secondary it has great backshifting, and is real trailable, just put one on my01 700 ves xc,cant wait to try it,as far as the primary,I was told to wait and see how the team works, prob. wont have to do anything to the primary, any how good luck!

I went with the SLP recommendations on my 2001 2 years ago when they didn't have a kit yet for the VES motor and am still using the same setup. Sled has awesome acceleration and comes out of the corners 'right now'. I used the stock weights, 40-1 orange primary (now 40-73 green/yellow), and yellow/purple secondary spring. I have added sleeper heads, pipes and an MBRP silencer. Good luck.

Are you using the stock helix?
