:hallo1: I have a 1999 mach 1 with stock gearing 25/43 should i go down 1 or 2 on top sprocket? will this help bottom & top end speeds or lose top end? also on my sc-10 skid the limit strap is down pretty tight I have the skid out and was wondering what loosening it up might do? has any body used the synclink or swatlink on there rave valves and does it make a difference?

Thanks for input!

down one will help bottom and probably be as fast or faster on top. two down will hurt topend but help the bottom.

How heavy is your steering? If the limiters are pulled too tight, a lot of weight will be on the skis and be difficult to steer.

Does your track break loose too often around the corners? Letting out your limiter straps a notch or two will give you back some traction sacrificing your steering and maybe cause your skis to lift too.

I'm not steering that great but have a worn out set of 6" doolies on flex skis but my limit strap is real tight. with susp. out & flip over it takes about all my wieght to squeeze shock and slack the limiter, i wiegh 210#. On hard pack with 144 1.075 carbide picks and the team roller secondary i can pull my skis about 1' off the trail.
