I don't ever recall this being asked before, so here goes.
If you push the electric start button while the kill switch is pushed down to "off", is the SDI system injecting gas into the transfer passages? Just wondering as the odd time we've all probably done the same thing.

I do that every time I start my sled. First push it with the kill switch on, then start it. And don't touch anything else until its nice and warmed up.
I was told that this will pressurize the fuel system, so it will start properly. Same thing happens if you pull the rope with the kill switch on.

Fuel pump runs to pressurize the fuel system.

The ECM requires a crank signal from the pick up coil to start injecting fuel.

So all we're hearing is the electric fuel pump eh? Well that makes sense.
Thanks

Great info guys, I was curious myself. I've been following this procedure since my update so I don't know which I should credit my new found plug life with :whatever:
