It probably figured that only someone who stole the sled would be out driving in Hard Rain. *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

My 01 mxz 800 did the same thing once last year as well except it was well below freezing on that day.Light came on
for about 10 min then went out,and no loss of performance was noted.Asked my dealer about it and they were at a loss
as well but they put a new mpem on it at no charge and it
never occured again.I talked to several others who have experienced the same thing http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

Same happened to me on a 2002 800x, but light came on dime, I was told that it was caused by a low voltage supply problem to the mpem. Tightened and cleaned connections and problem went away.

I doo believe it is caused be moisture under the dess cap, it would cause a bad connection to the moudule. Next time it happens dry out the cap and and see if the lamp goes out.
