 I am in touch with a guy who has a rev with the 809 triple engine in it with a comet clutch and a high performance intake similar to k&n filters, the exhaust is a set of jaws triple pipes as well. I presently have a 2003 800 rev, his is a 2003 rev also. The sled was a drag sled for a while, it wasnt lowered at all though and it is premix too. I am wondering what the upkeep of this sled is going to be compared to my 800 rev? Can oil injectors be added and how much do they cost? How fast do you think it will go with the engine pipes and clutch probably set up right? I'm not sure i can't say since i dont know, but anyone with an older machz and the same or similair clutch might be able to tell me.
I ride in saskatchewan and like to ditch bang and jump and play in any powder i can find is this gonna be a good engine for this? I love the triple power of my friends viper mtn. And what will the weight increase be with the setup of this??

i bet you can find enough repairs with your normal REV. why get one that has to be taken to a blacksmith everytime it needs something?

If you're asking these questions, you don't have the ability to maintain this type of hardware.

there are 3 things you need to own a sled like this.

1. MONEY.

2. KNOWLEDGE.

3. TIME.

you MUST have LOTS of AT LEAST 2 of the above or you'll absolutely hate the sled.

stick with your current 800, the minor performance gain will not be offset by the HUGE increase in maintenance you'll be left with.

besides, are you ACTUALLY able to outride the current 800??

I believe the reason there is no oil injection is because the engine will not fit with the injection on.It is on the bottom of the engine and there is no room there. I have seen some 809 rev summits run that were built by specialty sleds in edmonton and they were impressive to say the least and if you want to turn some heads there is nothing sweeter than the sound of a triple triple especially in a rev chassis.

Bondi's kit retains the stock oil injection and the air box.
