: F5 & f7 engine case....are they the same SnoProG 09-23-2002, 02:57 PM I know that the old ZR500 ZR600 used the same engine case if one desired to use a BM or D&D big bore kit. Is the F5 and F7 case the same for the same purposes. I want to stick with a carbed sled and bigbore later if I get a new sled. The F5 mod kits on Black Magic's website are in the $3,000 to $4,000 range. *It's a lot more affordable to just get the F7 unless you want a sleeper. With a magic twin/clutch setup, it's not too far behind an F5 with a stroker trail kit and wayyyyyyy less money. I guess efi might win out.
