I just need to confirm that there are no adjustments on an rer secondary, other than using different springs or cams. Can anybody confirm this?
What I'm (trying to) do is update the clutching on my GTX to match an MXZ. After lots of searching and reading, the only differences between the 2 are the primary spring and the clicker setting (thanks to snow4mydooplz & snomutt for the clicker info :) ). So... if the secondary isn't adjustable, all I should need is a spring and a clicker adjustment.
GTX...160-350 spring, #4 clicker, 3400 engagement
MXZ...200-380 spring, #3 clicker, 3800 engagement
Normally I would just make the changes and go try it, but my only chance for a test drive is going to be 8 hours from home on the SW.com charity ride. I want to do my wrenching at home and just ride at Houghton.
Thanks!
Edit
All info is for 500ss
