Hey Guys,
I'm about to install a reverse kit on a 2000 ZR 600 for my Dad. Just wondering if you guys have any advice? I've just rebuilt his suspension, as well as built him a complete new motor. So I'm getting really fed up with working on this sled. :bash: I'm looking for pointers, tips, & if possible a rough estimate on how much time this takes to install reverse.
Thanks in advance!!
Kevin

I just put one in a 600 last week,
I have installed at least 25 kits on cats over the years.
It takes me about 2 hours to do one start to finish.
Pull off the pull rope bezel and there is a template on the back side that shows you where to drill the hole for the shift lever to pass through.

how much does the kit run, and is one avail for a 99 zl 600 EFI?

They are expensive through Cat. $499 for the reverse kit and $129 for the lever kit
Get on Ebay and you can buy one on there pretty cheap.
Stick with someone with a lot of positive feedback and you won't get stung

I put one on this year, just follow the instructions, very easy to install.
Setting up the linkage is fun, but part of that was the kit wasn't for my sled... works mint now!
