From what I've heard on studs there main benefits are on ice and groomed trails. Would there be any real point in me studding my track because there are no groomed trails around where I ride and I stay off the ice(don't trust ice ever since I dropped a jeep through four years ago). Just wondering your opinions.

I personally wouldnt worry about it,,,, they do help in low snow when stopping is really needed,,, but if your in nothing but 6 to 8 inches of powder or more, no big advantage,,,,

Sounds like you may be better served installing a deep lug track for your off-trail only type of riding.
