Oops! Got to retrain me for this year! Filled out a report instead of a reply, oh well.

Somebody is going to get 8" of lake effect late today and tonite. At least the pattern has changed and winter has arrived! We have a couple of inches on the ground now and we did leave the door open for more. Lets build the base in record time!

The new groomers haven't arrived yet, but we are covered by the ultimate. Those Piston Bullies should be here any time now. The club did some last minute work on some trails filling holes with large quantities of rock. Our trails have been trimmed, graded and lots of bridges worked on over the summer. Should make for nice sledding!

Any from Manistique has arranged a MXZ "Shoot Out" for the weekend of January 5. That ride will include a run to Grand Maris and then some speed stuff on Indian Lake. He said we are the meeting point for the get together. If anybody wants more information give me a call and I will make sure you get it all.

[Without the lake effect; we are supposed to get 5-15" over the next two days!

We are under a Lake Effect Snow advisory that could add another 8".

Don't think they can be all wrong; so we will get more for sure. How much? Wait and see !!!

We have a good frost in the ground, so everything is holding just fine. That is a perfect start for good sledding this year!

Some predicted every day between now and then! I really hope you aren't expecting "excellent conditions" because they aren't that yet. It's our first snow and the groomers aren't even out here yet. You can get a ride in at this point, but don't expect to be able to put on a lot of miles. I don't know how wide spread this snow is. The last I heard Marquette had 0.

Marquette has 4" now and we have added that much fluff last night and today too. Calling for more every day! Didn't plow anything yet, waiting to pack it all down to make sure all the stone and blacktop are covered real good.

We had some lake effect off of Superior last night 3" more; will get it off of Lake Michigan later today; and then when it swings North again late tonite, we will have it off Superior again!

I'm not complaining either! It looks like up to a foot is possible right here. You never know exactly where it is going to fall though.
