let me guess a 74 model?dad had a 74 ss 454 elcamino, big dog, nice ride though.I drove a 73 ss 350 chevelle for many years before I made it a true ss,street stock.I will post a pic of that if I can find one.wish it had metal as good as the one you have I would still have it around.

Nice ride *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/thumbs-up.gif

I could have bought a Laguna S-3 a few years ago. Just what I needed, another toy to wrench on. Especially w/ no garage.

Yeah I really didn't need another toy,but for 900 bucks it seemed like a good investment.
I've already had an offer for 1500,I may just turn it over, replace the money in savings and find another.

Man,

I had a 77 that I built into a strip car when I was in high school.

Everyone at that time was driving 5.0 mustangs and IROC's

When I first got it they used to laugh at me because the thing was so big and heavy.

The first winter I had it I put a 383 stroker into it(400 sm block crank in a 350 4 bolt block).

Nobody laughed the next summer, I was running low 13's on the motor with an M-21 4 speed and a 3.73 gear in the GM 12 Bolt posi. *I know its not that fast but I was only 17 and on a real tight budget, plus, I did all the work myself

Hey NHS, if you want to make that thing a real sleeper I have 427 in my garage that would do the trick.

Don't say that,it came with 454 emblems on the fenders.
Now if I could convince the wife"now honey,it's easier to change the motor than the emblems" http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif Sounds awesome, i seen a build up of a "427 small block" chevy that pulled over 700 ponies and 620 lbs of torque in a hot rod mag, I figure that would be awesome!!!I dunno though, been a childhood dream to have a blown 427 in my ride, lot more weight, but it would just be for the street, we don't have a track to run at, i wish we did, i would love to build an asphalt sled!! That would be a blast http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif *http://www.snowmobileworld-s2.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

pic of a very young dooman and his young bride at the track after a few races.look at that nice paint now.this was before I cut the car all up to lighten it and basically became an outlaw street stock ,barely passing the rules, and if they where sharp we did not pass tech.not found any pics of it that far along yet.and Dpaige low 13's is a great acheivement with one of these tanks and a small block.I drove this car for about 8 years before it became a race car,had stock 350 in it,then 400 rv cam, then 406 with crane 280 dur. 480 lift on 106 centerline cam wow stump puller and idle that was great sounding, then 331 (.030 327) with solid isky 292 547 and double hump heads 3500 tci converter and 4.10 gears never hit the 13's with this car in street trim best was 14.05.once I found out the thing was 3880 lbs. I gave up and it was roundy round time.in all the best motor I had in the car was the 406 with gears and converter in race trim slicks and open headers I did run down in the mid 13's.the 331 needed more like a 4.56 or 4.88 rear.I think I still have the 4.10 posi for that rear, being a 8.5 gm corporate rear,I would sell for any reasonable offer,it never seen the dirt only street/strip.
