What's this guy talking about?

vibe as in vehicle. Forget about the vibe where is Dan. too much work and not enough play can make dan a dull boy.

Went to my dealrs last thursday and the vibe was not in yet so i got a little mad, its been over 4 1/2 months now so i ended up leaving with a Montana instead ! Its quit a amazing minivan, and its perfect for my kids ! And the 3400 V6 will pull my sled a lot better then the little 1600 4cyl in the vibe :sly:

I will take some pictures this week and post them !


And yes perm, work is killing me but im earning some good vacation time for this winter !

Dan, my parents are on their second Montana & have never had a problem towing a trailer w/ a sled on it. I don't mind driving it either. We're taking it to Talladega for the race, heading out Thursday.

Thats good news Rev ! i think il need a tranny cooler. Did your parents get one installed or did they just get the towing pakage with the air suspension ?

Dan, it has the air suspension but I don't know if it has a cooler. They actually do very little towing w/ it. Just to & from the dealer.

Sorry to hear the problem w/ delivery. I think that's a big problem w/ GM, not enough capacity to fill orders resulting in long delivery times. At least you didn't walk across the street & buy a Ford. Which you could quite easily have done. I hope you let GM know about this when you get your "Customer Satisfaction" survey in the mail.

Dan, we had a '00 Silhouette (same as Transport) w/factory tow pkg, so it came w/the coolers. It towed two sleds fine, and the air suspension helped out a lot. You will definately need the coolers, as I thought the tranny was searching a little too much.

Dan, You should've gotten an Aztek! We were looking at Chevy Ventures and other vehicles too, but the Aztek had the most bang-for-the-buck. My wife and I just picked our 2003 Aztek up last night! Awesome vehicle for the money. All kinds of neat stuff on it. We were going to order one, but the dealer found one with everything we wanted, including the trailering package. No tranny cooler with it though, just oil cooler and heavy duty coolant system and air load leveling.
Can you add a tranny cooler seperately?

Any tranny shop or the dealer should be able to install 1.

A cooler is fairly simple to install.Just remember that because it has a
towing package that it will not haul like a light truck or larger suv.I see
so many vehicles going down the road grossly overtowing what it was
designed for ???

Ya got that right z800rtx. I laugh at some guys and what they are towing with thier little SUVS.

Another area that is overlooked is drawbar hieght. Ever see a trailer in tow that is way low in the front and the rear of the tow vehicle is squatting? The lower the front of the trailer is the more weight on the tow vehicle.

The front drive minivans are the worst,w/ so much wieght in the back of the van,bad things happen. The headlights point to the sky,less traction and braking power at front wheels,a sqirrelly feeling in the rear(like a low tire) The trailer and tow vehicle should be level !!!!

Options to keep the rear of the vehicle level : cargo coils,air shocks,airbags,spacer blocks,add a leaf,overload leafs.Or just buy one with air ride. ;)

The vibe is not at all like the aztek, and the aztek is not that bad looking, the 2003 look alot better than the first one's. Im sur Greenstreak is happy with your comment :D He just bought an aztek !
