Dawg or anyone else. We are heading up for the first week in Feb. How are conditions and any good trails you would recommend. We also have to go from Bathurst to Edmondston with a overnight stay somewhere but not in Campbelton. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

BJJ,
Trails are great from Dalhousie to Goveners and I'm sure into Bathurst (I'm heading to Island Lake this week-end so I will find out for sure). Trails from Dalhousie to Campbelton SUCK!!! Not sure what the club is doing up there but it is not from lack of snow because we have lots. If you were comming this week-end I would recomend heading up the Mt. Carlton way...maybe things will be better in a couple of weeks.

Went for a drive yesterday and today and we have LOTS of snow but the trails aren't the greatest. The snow isn't packing and because everybody and their dog is trailering up her because there is no snow almost everywhere else the trails are beat up soon after the groomer is out. The groomer was out on Friday and Saturday morning the trails were so bad I almost turned around. What we need is some COLD weather and a little less traffic.
sorry charlo, cant help u with the the issue about needed less traffic. We are planning to triualer to edmundston tuesday morning and ride between there are cambleton for 2 or 3 days. i will report on what we find. word is, there is loads of snow in North western NB.

Dawg,
It's not that I mind you guys comming up I just wish the trails would set. BTW I was out today for a short ride and the cold weather has helped a lot. Hope you guys have some great weather this week.
Curry
curry..... 6 of us are leaving at 6 30 am tomorow and unloading in Edmundston. i think we are stayign at best western, anyway its the newer motel in st basile. weather is looking descent. Isnt funny that normally this time of year we are hoping for a little warnmer temps for riding rather than cooler ones.
we will be heading your direction sometime in the next 3 days. if u happen to get out for a rip hopefulluy we meet up. look for my 04 f6, a custom f7, 05 black scat 7, 04 xc 800, 05 fusion and 00 mxz 700.
:whistling:
curry....we stayed off your turf man. found all kinds of snow north of edmundston and over into quebec. Best riding i have ever hit. we spent some time towards kedgwick, but thats as far east as we got.

Dawg,
Thanks for thinking about us...I heard on Saturday they ran out of gas at Island Lake. A buddy told me he was at his camp on the week-end and was scared to go for a ride because there were so many sleds on the trail. Glad you found some great riding in Madawaska. Did you buy a Quebec pass?
curry, wow that many sleds. i bet the trials are beat to death by dinner time in places. tuesday we only met a couple sleds, wed maybe 10 and yesturday maybe 25. it was nice riding in quebec, might have been the best trials i have ever been on. we took the 12 from edmundston to quebec, and then the 85 and then took the 550 acrossed to the 35 ( i think ) and that took us back to NB. Nope, we didnt buy a pass. not at 50$ a sled :sarcasm:. we were talking to a guy on tuesday that said a lot of people do that loop into quebec and nobody bothers them so we gave it a shot. Was the first time i have ever been in quebec riding, and i will deffinetly go back.
