My brother inlaw was riding one of my sleds and missed a corner. He is fine

Trahed the a arm. tunnel(looks a little twistedand there is a crack about three inches long . tail light . snow flap. torn seat. slightly bent handel bars. rear bumper gone. front shock.

So my question is what is the process. of filing a claim is it just like a car?

Soes this affect my insurance. Ie because i am turning in the claim.

What is the normal buy back on a sled? is it so many percent of a totaled sled.

My brother inlaw is 17 and has taken the snomobile safety class.

and and all info would be great.

I think my deduct is 500. Just wondering if we should flip the bill and just fix it/ i have been wanting to turn put a 136 under it anyway.

They are going to have you take it for an estimate,,, if they total it out, there is a good chance your buy back will be really low as they simply dont like coming out and picking them up. I had a 94 vmax that was totalled out back in 01 and my buy back on it was 200$,,, so I ended up with 2200$ cash after we settled out. I simply put a new ski on it, and went to work straightening it and rode it for a couple more years.

As far as filing the claim, I simply called my agent and she hooked me up with the company,,, a couple of phone calls and it was all taken care of. Good luck on it

Well Highlander, depends how you would like to pay, you can pay now to fix it or on the monthly program thru your insurance increase. :D

The damage is done...he already talked to his agent. I'd say call it a wash...get the $2500 after deductible and apply that toward a newer sled!!!! Just my 2cents.....I'm an insurance agent!!!!
