During the ride in Houghton my brother in law was having problems with his Rev. It kept blowing the fuse to the starter ( i think it is a 30 amp) After the fuse would blow his gauges would go bonkers. His sled never did flash an error code but once his track moved the speedometer would go to 136 MPH. Now the weird part .. his odometer would read --136-- the same number that his speedometer would go to. Anybody had this before?

Any time you go over 50MPH (I think - could be 60) the odometer reads MPH.

The odometer reads the speed at above 55 mph.

Talk with the dealer or check on Dootalk. Some of the guys over there had been saying about the speedometers doing some weird things. I guess there is a lot of things going on in the speedometer.

I had something weird happened to mine this past weekend also. I reset my trip and unloaded my sled, got geared up, started the sled again and it read SCALE and the engine, temp, and ! lights were all lit. The tach would not work. I tried to ride it and it ran for $h#t. I called a dealer from the trail and all it was, the stupid trip button gets stuck and causes all kind of problems. I pulled on the trip button to get it unstuck and the sled was fine. This happen to anyone else?

Got the problem fixed and you wont believe what was going on. Part of the problem was the starter would not work. Before the fuse would blow the starter would spin but not kick out to engage. Well he took the sled back to the dealer and found the problem. The dealer had just finshed servicing this sled a month ago. The wrong battery got put into the sled and it was acutlly set up backwards from the stock one so the polarity was reversed. (neg to pos pos to neg) This was causing the starter to actually spend the opposite direction and not kick out. Put the right battery back in and and everything was fine. Started right up and is running great. He is picking it up tommorow. I was conerned if anything else could be damaged from having the battery cable hooked up wrong but he was told everything on the sled checked OK.
