Sounds good for me (a NEaster), with "below" temps (and close to "much below" in my favorite riding area). "Normal" precip with "above" normal in my favorite riding area.
Sounds (just) okay... but compared to other sections of the US-
Above average temp for much of the western-central and central region of the state. Precip is said to be "below" for all of the central US and even extending west.
The eastern parts of Canada do look verrrry nice, with "much below" temps and "above" average precip.
Hopefully ANY change from the current pattern will prove beneficial. Take this with a grain of salt, and pray for the best.

All I can say is I hope your right! It is almost the 1st of February and I can see grass on my lawn, something just not right about that. I havent even put 100 miles on yet. I am not going to complain too bad because I know I am not alone but this is one of the worst years for New-England I have seen in a long time. Vermont depends on tourists for a majority of its income, both the ski mountians and the sled towns are hurting.

Me too. I hate the fact that I am ACTUALLY considering selling all my sleds.
I cannot afford to put all this time and money (and hopes and dreams) into a sport that I cannot enjoy. The past 2 years have been the worst I can remember in the last 16. only 1,100 miles last season and only 600 so far this year! I can typically have 9,000 miles on a sled in three years. My last two sleds were both sold with 10,000 mi plus and I only owned them each for three years.
If it doesn't snow soon I am afraid that they are going to find me giggling uncontrollably on a roof top with an automatic weapon. If I don't get to release some adrenaline soon I am going to go CRAZY!!!! :bash:
I do have a trip planned for the UP the first week in March, but the way winter is going, the trails will probably be dirt by then. Me and my boy are hoping for 1,200 to 1,300 miles in 5 days to salvage some of this abismal winter.
Time to renew my indoor MX membership and buy a new bike.

If any of you remember, just a couple of years ago we had an average(almost below) winter in the UP in Jan. then we got hammered in Feb & Mar and set a new snow fall record.....
The moral of the story ......its not over till its over.
