Just saw a new Capital One Credit Card commercial . I was wondering if you guys find it funny , or a put down , on sledders. I guess it's funny at the start . But then you hear the sled crash in the background out of view . I kind of thought that part to be in bad taste , based on the fact of having lost friends in sled wrecks . I know lighten up. Just curious though , seeing as the media is eating us alive . So what do you think , me personally could do without the crash sound behind , and would find it humerous.

I seriously thought the same thing! Just taking off on the sled would have been funnier.

I thought it funny as is. My perseption was the sled crashed because it was summer. That was the whole point of the ad. JMO

now we are hitting close to home,,, I have rolled a snowmobile in the middle of July in my own back yard,,,, Do you honestly realize how hard it is to tell the nurse in the emergency room that you rolled your snowmobile (when she asks how it happened),,, Let me tell you, the first response you will get is,,,, but there is no snow,,, and you can reply with is I know and give them that really dumb look,,,,

Having been on my own vacation from h#ll, I laughed out loud the first time I saw it.

Haven't seen it but can't be any worse than the two guys taking a 'nature break' and the moose stealing their sleds!

Don't get me wrong . I don't dislike the whole commercial just the one part, or the moose stealing one .That one makes me not want to stop for a trail break , without looking for animals lol. I laughed my butt off just at the fact it was a funny time of the year to take a snowmobile vacation , being summer . I just thought the crashing sound in the background after he disappears off screen was in bad taste , that's all. I know some may think i'm being over reactive . But I know that with all the media write ups , and the unfortunate deaths involving snowmobiles. What is next the guy has the sled drive into a lake. I think the over all look at snowmobiles has taken enough hits over the year . And i'm sure if you think about the commercial , and then someone who has been killed, or injured riding them , you might not find the crash sound to humerous . Anyways , just was curious on others thoughts . Take care all.

I laugh every time I see that commercial. Maybe you are seeing a different version. The one I see all the time first shows the family going up a ski lift ,skiing down a rocky slope in the summer, and the parents crashing into each other. Then it shows the father on the snowmobile. (Do you think the downhill skiers are taking offense to it?)I know we seem to get a lot of bad press but I see this as just another stupid commercial, and apparently it worked, because we are talking about it and know it is advertising capitol one credit cards.Just my opinion.

The moose commercial is classic every time my son and I stop for a nature break, he comments that we need to watch out for moose.....to funny.

The capitol one commercial is working on the stupidity factor and trying to make an impression so you remember what they are hocking. The sledding scene is no more ridiculous then the skiing. it seems the more out there the commercial the greater retention from viewers.

I Just saw the commercial again last night and payed close attention due to this thread.

I can't say as I was offended in anyway due to the fact it was pretty funny. I think the General public knows that they were stupid moves, and not normal moves. I actually thought the skiier's got the worst end of it. They actually showed them tumbeling on the hill and dust flying everywhere.. :lmao: We only heard the sled crash ! :crazy:
