Has anyone done any adjustmest to the limiter straps and springs on the Phazer Suspension? Someone on here posted a few pages from a tuning guide that tells you what to do to get better acceleration/more top speed. When you do this you lose some steering effectiveness and so on.
I've just kept mine as is. My sled steers very well, but I can't really get the skiis up under hard acceleration. I guess if I adjust that, the skis will come up, but I'll loose the great steering.
Just wanted some thoughts.

I HAD THE LIMITER STRAP OFF MINE NEAR THE END OF LAST YEAR.
DIDNT PUT IT BACK TILL I REDID THE SKIDD THIS FALL.
YOU SURE WILL BE ABLE TO LIFT THE SKI'S HOWEVER YOU HAVE TO LET OFF THE THROTTLE ALL THE TIME TO GET IT POINTED STRAIGHT.
MINE WOULD CATWALK FOREVER LIKE THAT, IM NOT THINKING IT DID THE TRACK ANYGOOD THO.
SINCE I WAS/AM ABOUT TO REPLACE IT I DIDNT CARE,
SURE TURNED HEADS THO TO HAVE THE SKIS IN THE AIR SO OFTEN..LOL
IT WOULD PULL UP SO HARD THE BACK RAIL WOULD SCRAPE ON THE TRAILS
NOW WITH THE LIMITER ON AGAIN IT WILL LIFT THE SKI'S BUT MORE OF JUST A DANGLE THEN GONE KINDA AFAIR.
AS FAR AS THE SPEED THING 140/160 LETS JUST SAY IF SEEN ALOT OF RED FACED BOYS
ON 600'S A THE END OF THE TRAIL, SEEING ME GET THERE FIRST!!!

Couldn't you just make the strap a bit longer? You can try a few different lengths until you come up with a spot where it'll pull the skis and not be too bad on handling. The strap on my 91 Phazer 2 has holes in it just for that purpose.

Yes, that's exactly what I wanted to do.
Is it easy enough to change? Do you have to compress anything? I've never attempted this.

when i did mine the skidd was out..
still took a little force but not too bad
when you take it off the front top skid arm will pop up just push it back down and strap it
where you want it

Is it also the same for the Exciters? On my limiter straps there is like three or four holes and it is in the hole farthest down, making the strap the longest. My skii's dont pick up at all and the thing runs great. Do I have to just unhook them or is something else wrong?
