Hey,
First post here, joined just for this, lol.
Anyway, I have a 99 Tundra. I broke the recoil spring, so I ordered a new one. When we took apart the recoil, (actually my buddy did, I hate recoils), we didnt pay attention on how it went togeather. I know, Im stupid, but we had to do it quick.
We have it put togeather as follows- the spring in the housing, then we have the white pully part where the rope attaches and spools around, then the green part that has a knob that fits in the white spinning part, then the next white part, that holds the spring, Followed by the E clip, small spring, then another clip. Is this right?
We have it on the sled, and it works fine when you pull over the sled slowly, but when you pull it over fast, it makes a sharp snap/click noise, then it hooks up and turns over the engine. Im not sure if it is because it is put togeather wrong, or if it is somthing else. Any ideas? I just dont want to leave it like this even though it works, because I dont want to break anything. Im a dirtbike guy, not a sled guy, lol.
Thanks,
Ryan.
