:cussing: Not sure if anyone has heard this news but here it is-NY State is going to try and divert $2.5 MILLION dollars of OUR snowmobile trail fund money which help our clubs out.Theya re going to try and put this money into their General Fund which has nothing to do with snowmobiling! I have sent a letter to my Senator ( George Maziarz ) in my area voicing my concerns over this money theft.We have as clubs worked very hard over the years to get where we are now and now the Stae wants to raise our registration fees and THEN on top of it-take money away! Our club meeting is tonite and our VP has made 100 copys of a letter we as members are to sign and send into the State.Lets all band together to make sure this doesn't get off the table.It is supposed to happen in April so don't procrastinate and hope others will do their part-contact your ELECTED officials now-Yourself!

Sledshed- Thanks for the reply What club do you belong to? I am in the Sno-chiefs.Did'nt you join the club out east from Lockport? Seems no one else on this forum seems to give a damn about the State wanting to divert money but if they do, then you will hear them all cry the blues.

I belong to Northern Erie Sno-seekers. Was thinking about joining your club too. :cool: I guess it will be up to us few to get the word out to the many!!! That is part of the problem with these helmet heads :bash: they worry about it after it is too late! With all the snowmobilers we have here in New York you would think something like this wouldn't happen. They would ##### about the snowmobile regs going up and pay it instead of joinng a club and helping out. We need more now than ever problem solvers and not problem spotters. :thumbsup: Every club could use an abundance of help on building new trails and maintainace of what they already have. If everybody pitched in it would be a snap!!! :thumbsup: :thumbsup: They have no problem finding there way on to the trails so lets hope everybody will help out and prevent our trial fund from being drained for other than what it is supposed to be for - The snowmobilers of New York State!!!!!! :thumbsup: SWRules w00t w00t w00t

Have been working with Senator Maziaz-he's pretty pissed off about this. I had our webmaster on www.snochiefs.com leave a letter for download on the site. Please print it, get lots of signatures, but hold the letters. I'm waiting on NYSSA and the Lobbyist to let us know when to send them.
