Some may have see this but since I bought our trailer I didn't get any notice. My front axle broke last weekend on the hwy. After a few calls to Newman MFG they told me about the recall. But it has expired. It was up to the dealership to notify me for replacement so they say...

Consequence:
THE WHEEL HUB WILL SEPARATE FROM THE TRAILER AXLE POSSIBLY CAUSING A VEHICLE CRASH OR PERSONAL INJURY.
Remedy:
NEWMAN'S MANUFACTURING WILL NOTIFY ITS CUSTOMERS TO RETURN THEIR TRAILERS TO THE NEAREST DEALER FOR INSPECTION AND CORRECTION FREE OF CHARGE. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN FEBRUARY 19, 2001. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR TRAILERS TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT NEWMAN'S CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 1-877-766-4634.
