Post any info you may have about gas stations being closed on Sundays or out of business.

In Apsley the Shell is open 7 days a week while the Ultramar is closed on Sundays.

There is no gas in McArthur Mills (east of Bancroft)

This is a great idea Revrnd. Bancroft just got the Esso station across from Mc. Donalds in town taken over by new management . Great guy, I had the pleasure of meeting him . He is now 24 hours a day, 7days a week. Yee Haw. He also has a great set-up on his gas service . If you look at the sign price Example .97 cent a litre. Look at the pump for the true price , always at least .02 cents a litre or more cheaper. It is his own little thing he has going . If you forget to look at the pump . He has a sign in the store telling you the amount on pump you were charged . I shook his hand , and introduced myself , told him it was a great thing he is doing for his customers. He said it was the least he could do .

Most may know by now, but there is no gas in Dwight, but there is some up the D101B at Oxtounge lake, lots of yellow signs on the trail showing the way.

I saw that the station in Novar was Burnt down when I went by last fall, but Im not sure of its status now.

You may know there is no gas in Magnetawan now. There is gas at Ahmic Harbour, at Ahmic Lake Resort on Ahmic Lake , and at Port Carmen Marina. Port Carmen has a trail....712 I think, that hooks to 711 and to c104d

Hey snodood it isn't that hard to get to that Esso really. If you head across the york river trail bridge and head to the right accross the river inlet on the ice , and go behind the Sword motel , head up there driveway , and then right at the highway , it is right there, on your right. If you don't want to cross the ice , just ride up to the road past the bandshell , and take a right . Hope this helps . Last week he was having a midnight madness sale on his gas price , you saved 5 cents a litre off the sign price. Good deal The sign price was 84.9 . You paid 79.9 instead.

The owners of the Ultramar have closed the business & moved out of town. No word on if anyone is planning to reopen it. I heard that the cost to renew their license was prohibitive considering the business it had.

It was just down the street from the folks' place. Lot's of disgruntled sledders & motorists who pulled in there on Sundays only to find it was closed. Up here weekends are probably the busiest 2 days of the week. To not be open on 1 of them doesn't make much sense to me.

Also, I was thru Pontypool a month ago. It would appear that the gas station in town is closed. can anyone verify that? I guess the closest gas in south on the east side of Hwy. 35

I see that the Grundy Lake Gas Bar @ the intersection of Hwys 69 & 522 is closed. The pumps were taped over.

The shell station in town that used to be open till 2 am. is now totally closed. Pumps have been pulled out of the ground. This is the one that was beside the jug city, and the legion in town.

Is the Esso station south of Jan Lumber on Hwy 62 still there? I saw the crappy trail to it off the railbed had been used when I rode up to Lake St. Peter in December.

Whites General store on #28 had signs in the pumps saying out of order this weekend. I would not rely on gas there this winter. Same thing happened last year. (Paudash Trailblazers trails)
I know because I ran out of gas trying to make it to Cardiff on Saturday. :(

New ownership this season.
Went by to check on gas and pump posted (Out of gas).OUCH!!
Bad move as this is really the only gas hub from north to get u home down the lake.
Heard no gas last weekend too.
Going to check out Bobcaygeon trail gas and hours this week.

There's also fuel at the north west end of Ahmic Lake off the C104D lake trail at the Guitar Picker's corner restaurant.

They're open 7 days a week, usually 7-7.

Is the OLCO in Eldorado selling gas? I was by there today & store was open but no price on the sign & I think there was something taped on the pumps. I was in a hurry, so I didn't stop to check.

To answer my own question both the Shell & Esso on 62 south of Bancroft are open.

This past weekend the Ultramar in Apsley was closed on Sunday, so I think that they'll be Saturday only on weekends. If they start to open on Sundays, I'll post that. The Shell in Apsley (around the corner) is open 7 days a week except for Christmas & New Years.

Looks like the Petro can is closed along hwy 12 in Beaverton. I haven't seen it open in weeks. Not a big deal, there is another one allmost beside it & there prices are always lower.

I was thru Garden Hill today & I see that the station @ the intersection of County Roads 9 & 10 has reopened. I was thru there earlier this year & the pumps had been removed.

I was talking to a neighbour who is a sledder & has a cottage on Moose Lake near Haliburton. He was saying that the gas station in Fort Irwin will be closed for the winter starting Nov. 6. There is a chance that if there is good snow & a lot of sledders around, he may re-open early.

Bro walked down to the Ultramar in Apsley w/ a 5 gal can on Saturday around lunchtime. It was closed :cussing:. As far as I'm concerned it is closed. You can't depend it.

I see the gas station on Hwy 7 @ the Indian River bridge east of Gateway Powersports is closed (snow banks not plowed a week after storm). This was a handy spot for gas if you were running the river from Stoney to Rice Lake.

There is gas in Warsaw though.

It's on Kasshabog Lake. The "main" trail from the west end of the lake to the HDSC-898 trail goes right by it.

Does anyone know if Island View Cottages (on Wollaston L. near Coe Hill) sells gas during the winter? I was by there today in the truck & noticed the pumps.

A co-worker that's a sledder was in Griffith (between Denbigh & Eganville) last week on a bike trip. He says the gas station @ the Hwy. 41 bridge was closed.

gas station in bewdley is closed but u can get gas in baileboro or hiawatha on rice lakes north shore other than that its garden hill or noones on 115

Gas is available on lake of Bays @ South Portage Trail54 He has Premium -regular and stays open till 9pm on fri and sat Sunday open 10 to 5

Dont know if anyone goes on Rice Lake from here...but I know gas station on 28 is closed again, which many snowmobilers used...there is gas on Rice Lake...Small marina on North shore...Islandview Harbour...has gas, restaurant and open till 11pm Fri- Sun also mechanic on site
