Hey,
I'm looking at getting a heated face shield. I do not have a connection as of now, but my sled has a battery. Can i just hook it up directly to that? (positive and negative).

Yes.

If you hook directly to the battery, make sure you put a fuse in line. Also, you may want to put a switch in there somewhere to you can turn it off in the event something is wrong with the system. Unplugging the visor may not stop the current draw and you could have a dead battery.

Any type of inline fuse from any autoparts store or radioshack, very readily available.
