I have heard about rolling the chain case on the 99 to 2000 Mountain Max to get a better approach on the snow to upgrade them to 2002 specs. I don't see anything on the 2001. Does anyone know about this??

So I whats the deal with the approach angle on the mountain max. As in "rolled chain case" kits I see on Mountain Performance. does anyone know if the 2001 has the different angle or is it the 2002, when did they change it. thanks.

Ok here is the deal on the chaincase roll. 97-99 had a 29 degree approach on the front of the track. 2000 to 2001 has a 10 degree approach on the track.
you can get a to degree kit for 97-99. in other words change the approach on a 97-99 from 29 degrees to 19 degrees.

you can get a rolled chain case for the 2000-2002, but you have to change the tunnel, etc. moves the (rolls) the case 4 inches. So you get a 10 degree approach on the track.

It sounds like way to much money and to much work just to get a better approach on the snow. I don't really have any problems anyway.

These are for the mountain max.
