I had a 97, but it was the 800. First year of the ett suspension, and overall not a bad sled. mine was a little rough on fuel as we had a ported 900 tcat motor in it. the 600 wasnt horrible on fuel as far as I remember though. I would say if you can get it for a good price, go for it,,,

I have one and love it... Well I can't afford the new prices so I love what I have.
I have done a few carb part changes (proper altitude parts) along with keeping on top of my jetting this year as compared to my past four years. My mileage has gone from 7.5mpg to over 14mpg with still room for improvement.
For someone not mechanically inclined as myself, it is a great sled to learn on as it is a pretty basic setup compared to some high tech new stuff.

If you want a rocket 600, you have found it.
Running well it should be able to hold the ski's up past 70mph and hang in the twisties with all your rich buddies.

I still have '96 600 that I refuse to part with. The 600 ZRT is a good, reliable, FAST sled that had very few problems and, most of them (I believe) were corrected in '97. Do a search on this site and you will find that some had issues with broken motor mounts (mfg recall in '96). It's hard to believe these things are 10 years old already.

I would bet that broken motor mounts is a problem on a lot of cat triples,,, nearly every year and both the zrts and thundercats. I know I replaced mine.

If you want a triple triple... there is none out there better then the ZRT's. We sold our ZRT600 not long ago to upgrade to a ZL800 for the Mrs.. she refused to ride it so I had to go buy her another ZRT.. this time we moved her up to an 800. She had to have one just like mine. Its too much a sled for her if you ask me... but hey.. shes the boss!! lol
