Well last monday i was up home and filled my sled from a gas container and when i put it down i heard a wierd noise in it and come to find out it had a bunch of ice in it. I looked at my sleds tank and didn't see any ice in it. My question is can i dump some de icer in the gas or should i just suck all the gas out. I thought i read somewhere of these efi sled you shouldn't run alcohol in them. Any help would be appreciated.

a little water wouldnt kill it with some deicer,,, but if it were me changing the pistons if there was a little more than a little, I would drain the tank and start over. no sense in tempting fate.

it should be fine putting some isoheat in them, i did it last week because some water was in the line and froze up. don't put too much in though

I took it out on a slow ride with my sisters after i filled it up and it ran fine, i probaly didn't get to much ice in there. The next time i'm up i'll just suck the gas out of it, the way this year is going i'll be summerizing it. :(

If there was ice in the can and you didn't dump the ice in the sled your O.K. Sometimes with a flashlight you can see in the bottom of the tank and look for water. Isopropyl alcohol dry gas is fine for EFI.

Ditto on the isopropyl. ONLY isopropyl for snowmobiles, not some of the other stuff around. 1 ounce for every 2 gallons of gas is what's recommended by manufacturers. I use it all the time and never worry. Doesn't matter if injected, or not, 2-stroke or 4-stroke. It does the job and is cheap!

I don't know what isoprothene is. If it isn't isopropyl alcohol, don't use it! If it's a brand name for isopropyl, fine. I have seen manuals that came with sleds in the past that specified isopropyl, only.

I had a brain freeze and couldn't remember how to spell isopropyl
