How many stds would you put on a 1998 zr500 , I thought it would be like 96? Also when you install stds some of the guys were saying that you do not have to put the stds on the outside of the track , as long as you followed the pattern you just would not install the ones on the outside of the track just down the center any thoughts ? I know it will help out of the hole but is it going to slow the sled down much ? , after all its only a 500

96 would be min. as for position I would stay in the middle just to be on the safe side. You risk premature track failure on if you install on the outside and ride aggressive.

96 down the middle will give you a nice balance between hooking up and being able to hang it out when you want to. For carbides, go with 6" if your a moderate rider and 8" if your very agressive. Buy Woodys, like many things in life, you get what you pay for.......Enjoy Rick.

I agree with ZR Sled Head. Woody's has a universal template out that has the 96 single backers or 96 double backers patter down the center.
