FastCat AKA Marmaladecat is deciding between riding up to cochrane with JT and myself and 2 days of hunting. What do you think he should do?

Anyone else on the fence? Cory9?

Wow, perfect timing. I just jumped on. I voted yes (of course). There are plenty of deer out there, but only one shot this year at Cochrane. lol

OMG!!!!!! You guys are too much.... I am actually sitting here right now with this delemma going through my head... I really want to go. I would just have to give something up later this year. If it was only that easy!!! :dazed:

It's not really the vacations for hunting deer. It's the 6 days this summer and 4 days during next christmas that I've taken to spend time with my 9 year old, Hunter. It's a joint custody thing so I try not to give up any of the days I get to hang with him!!! Also it is the 4-5 days that I have committed to for a Michigan bear hunt in the fall with my hunting partner if we draw tags. We've got lots of point's so we will most likely draw a tag. He waited til this year to put in for a tag and not just a point because I have deer hunted in Canada the last 3 yrs. That's 15 days plus the 2 I always take in the spring to Turkey hunt and a couple to deer hunt. Total now 19-20.... I have 20.5 left for the year because of the 3 I have already taken to snowmobile.(Houghton)

That means if I go to Cochrane with you guys I will have to give up time with my boy(not an option). Or pass on the Bear hunt....(might #### off the buddy, he's not a sledhead). So I'm pretty much in a self induced quagmire of poo-poo at the moment!!!! :bash: :bash:

Anybody have some vacation days they might want to send my way????

I just asked the boss if she could slide me an extra 5 days of vacation....she said "sell you 5 days of vacation?" I'm still working on it!!!!!

If a bear poops in the woods would you want to step in it?

I know a bear camp about 4 hours North of you and a sludgemagnet (http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forum/index.php?showuser=18902)that loves to have good campers there.

What's the choice ? go out to the bush and freeze your finger to the trigger waiting for winnie or go out in the bush with a great bunch sledders laughing your a$$ off, eat your face off and getting snot hangin snapped at the bar each night. You get to do it all over again every day. No possibility of getting shot in the face with us (well maybe a whiskey shot).

Throw a couple of lawn chairs in the trailer, you can set 'em down on top of the 48" of packed base and catch spme rays while you sip a cocktail ... when we're done riding of course.

Hey!! I just checked the pole ... who the f&^% voted "NO"?

:whistling:

I know one of them (W), I know because I was in and out of the thread and he was the only one in here when a no vote came in. He has something against traveling to sled, even from mid michigan to the UP.

Well as a select few already know....I have had a vibration in the new crossfire at high speeds(over 70mph) and have not been able to figure it out. So, considering this last minute trip to Cochrane I thought I better take it in just to make sure everything was OK!!! The dealer was thinking maybe something was loose in the skid but I couldn't find it. After a thourough inspection the dealer did find my vibration.... A bent drive shaft :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: Came that way from the factory!!!! The new drive shaft was ordered Friday and with any luck will be in tomorrow, put together and ready for pick up!!!! Just my bad luck....the decision about this trip might just be made for me!!!! Guess we'll see.... And this is no joke!!!!! We just got 10in of the white stuff and there was some riding to be had this past weekend but not for me!!!!! Just stayed home dueing laundry and cleaned the house a bit!!!!!!!

I am calling your dealer, turn the screws on him.

If that driveshaft is in by the end of the day you better have directions to your house to me. We will be there 9ish tomorrow!

Well it's official.....the new drive shaft did not come in today which means the sled will not be ready when Jt and Matt come through this area tomorrow morning. :bash: :bash: I guess it just wasn't meant to be..... maybe next time I will plan it out better and in advance. Thanks to Jtkenedy9 and mlabudda for there continued encouragement trying to help me with the decision on making this trip. :D

Hope everyone has a great ride......And no...I don't want to see any pictures when you get back
