I am just wondering if anyone went to Marilla for the NYS Championship grass drags yesterday. It was a good day for racing compared to past years when it has rained. I was rooting for Howard's as I know two of the crew members. What did you all think of it?

I posted the results in the Racing Forum. I left at 5 when they stated the "support" classes. I was going to start a topic. Is it necessary to have so many classes when it would appear some of the guys are running the same sled? If they had run the Championship final at 5 insted of during the middle of the afternoon, it would have been a fitting end.

The NHRA on the day of eliminations doesn't run the Top Fuel final at 2 o'clock then run a bunch of Sportsman classes.

They should run these classes as follows:

500, 600, 700, 800, 900 & 1000

Stock, improved stock & Open

A lot of people left between 4 & 5

What do other drag fans or racers think?

Just my 2 cents worth.

I do agree w/your list of classes. It was a long day for both the racers and the spectators. Anything to shorten it up by a little would be nice.
