Does anyone know if DPM is the equivalent to EFI? I know the difference between carbed and efi but does it accomplish the same thing? All i could find is that it adjusts the mixture but did not tell me why. Elevation, Temperature ....

It is not the equivilent as efi but as close as you can get running
a carb type system. :D

I would say that DPM is very close to EFI. It performes the same functions as fuel injection with the performance of a carb.

All it does is optimise fuel and air mixture. EFI does the same thing. A regular carb cant and will run what ever it is set at no matter what conditions.

dpm, leans the air/fuel mixture as temps and elevation rise.it does nothing below -4f,you are running off the main jet below this temp.much better than efi,in the sense that I can make mods, and jet for them and the dpm still functions correctly.hope this helps.I would buy it on any sled I could ,it is worth it, IMHO.
