Anyone know of a good source for aftermarket hoods? I saw one guy take his off in a video and jump all over it and put it back on.

I bet it was a lexan hood the stuff is literaly bulletproof.

Any lexan that you could jump on would have to be pretty thick. My ol' man uses the bulletproof stuff in some of his custom fishtanks. Let me tell you that stuff is not light. I would imagine it would be heavier then the new plastic hoods. I have seen clear hoods on the trail.. i dont know who makes them but these were light and flimsy

I just got my new hood in from Body by NorthStar. Its indy red for an '03 prox 440. looks really good, its weighs about 4.5lbs. Dont have the sled yet, but based on from last years sled I will save around 13-14lbs. If you call ask for Gary, they made it really fast (about 12days) and shipping was only $35.
