I just ordered a new 07' polaris 600ho cfi. They have EPI clutches in the 07 polaris brochures so I asked my dealer what the instalation cost would be and he said if I ordered it they would put it in when my sled got there in the fall free. Always heard that clutching was great for a sled but not really sure what the real world advatanges are? huge difference from stock? I am not going to stud the sled, at least not in the forseen future, but love performance. More of a trail guy than a lake racer. Love to watch and mess with the buds but nothing serious in the drag race form. Do you gain much horsepower from a good clutch kit? Sorry I am real green on clutching. I read a couple articles on them put most just talked about higher engagement and backshifting (not sure what that is). I am willing to spend the coin if it is really worth it. Also plan to get an after market pipe and can to bump up the 125 ponies. Most likely Dynoport, love the one on my 00 mxz700. Sorry so long guys but any help would be awsome.

not more hp, more to the track. clutching can gain you 5 sleds in 800 feet.

You will be wasting your money,if you put in a clutch kit,add a pipe and silencer and don't stud it.You will be putting more power to the track and it will just lose traction.
So you have now just undone, what you just paid good money to do.I can tell
your green in clutching department,or you would'nt even think of not studding.
So basicly don't waste the money on a clutch kit & pipe if you don't stud.

IMO, Ride it 1st and let the sled tell you what to do to the clutches, if anything. The kit would be a gamble. Check out slp's pipe too.
