: Your Location!
YellowBelly 10-02-2002, 10:44 AM To all the newer people posting here:
Glad to see some new members! This is a great site for information with no BS.
I don't think I'm speaking for myself, but maybe I am. If you can enter where you live in you user profile, it would be nice to see where you guys (and gals) are from! Maybe you'll find a new sledding buddy just down the road that you didn't know!
Unless of course, you are running from the law and don't want to be caught! lol
Have fun! The white stuff is just around the corner!!!

phazerhater 10-02-2002, 12:49 PM :withstupid: Ditto! ;)
FishHog 10-02-2002, 01:15 PM Its also nice to post where you ride, if its not where you live.

ARCTICZRT600 10-02-2002, 01:19 PM I agree also. :withstupid:
ARCTICZRT600 10-02-2002, 01:48 PM Another thing that is annoying is the person who posts it's snowing it's snowing and you look at their location to see where it is snowing and there is none. As fat as we know they are at the north pole. :p :blahblah:
paul yarek 01-22-2003, 08:55 PM this is going to be a constant request from most of us i guess so i thought i would bring this one back to life.
FreezerBurnt 01-22-2003, 09:46 PM Good call Paul SWRules
sled-head 01-22-2003, 09:52 PM It should be a required field....... :withstupid:
NewfieBullet 02-21-2003, 12:56 PM I had to bump this up again cause it drives me nuts when people don't put their locations in their profiles.
MikeD 02-21-2003, 01:03 PM :withstupid: 100 % in agreement...
Downriver Thunder 02-21-2003, 01:04 PM I tried to put up another post a month or so ago about this and everyone who replied made nothing but jokes like "Let me look, I'm where I'm at." That was BS in the worst way, I finally deleted the thread.
GHOSTRIDER 02-21-2003, 02:10 PM how do i go back and add that info?
dpaige 02-21-2003, 02:17 PM Hey Ghostrider,
Go to the top of the page and click the "My Controls," Link to the right of the page.
This will take you to your control panel.
On the left of your control panel you will see the Personal Profile links.
Select the "Edit Profile," link this is where you can make the modifications.

04MXZADR600HO 02-21-2003, 04:51 PM As I am on the run from the "law" (I stole the Caramilk secret, that will at least narrow down the country) I have declined adding my location.
:p
Vmaxrida 02-21-2003, 05:25 PM That annoys me too,I always look to see where people are from and so many people leave it blank....JUST FILL IN YOUR LOCATION!! :)

Shadow 804 02-22-2003, 12:24 AM I'll Just Leave It At NorthEast New York So You All Will Have A General Idea. Can't Beat The Riding Here In Warren County This Season .
revrnd 12-18-2003, 03:43 PM Someone the other day was asking about insurance, No location so I didn't bother to suggest any ins. cos. For all I know the person could have been from the States & then what good would my info have been. Same if you're looking for a dealer.
If you're concerned about people finding out where you live :undercover: , just put a generalized location, eastern Ontario,, U.P. Michigan or North Dakota.
This is a warning. If Paul finds you, you'll be wishing you had put a location down. :D

phat_cat800 12-18-2003, 04:26 PM I think it should be mandatory and I know the post you are talking about revrnd. having the location really helps when trying to give somebody prices on mods/accesories or a place to find parts.
puree 12-18-2003, 05:42 PM I am all for it,,,

ARCTICZRT600 ....... Irony at its finest :p LOL.
On a serious note, I agree that adding location is a good idea and should be required. However, I could see people entering idiotic things in the field if they didn't want to state their true location.
CATTRACKS 12-18-2003, 07:36 PM I think it would be nice for everyone to have their location in,then if we see someone close enough we can invite them for a trail ride or a friendly drag race. You can close a lot of doors by not having your location posted.
No1Hookman 12-18-2003, 08:05 PM Hey, it's about privacy. If some one doesn't want it to be known where he/she's from, that's his/her business. Get used to it and quit your whining!!
#1
revrnd 12-18-2003, 08:16 PM Example: "Does anyone know of any snowmobile wreckers? No location given. Where do you live? New Brunswick or Wyoming? I don't want the guy's mailing address.
sawman 12-18-2003, 08:52 PM If somebody doesn't want other people to know where they live that is there business. I don't care, they aren't worth knowing about, least of my worry's.The important thing is that those of us who are in touch with our feminine side are not afraid to admit it
MXZ00 12-19-2003, 12:27 AM I LIVE IN SOUTHERN MAINE AND RIDE WHERE EVER THERE IS SNOW
