the extra weight will make the sheaves squeeze the belt harder, forcing it to shift faster. Unless you are over reving this will cause you to rev under your peak rpm. It can be advantageous though if you make it run at peak rpm. For instance if you have some room on the tra clickers it could work and make the sled pull harder. It's my experience however that when you change one thing in the clutching you often have to make other changes to get the desired effect.
