: Are You A "senior Sir?"
CORY9 04-08-2006, 05:12 PM I'm 45, soon to be 46. Years of marriage, financial struggles and two active boys have left me completely gray haired and older looking than I am. But I have NEVER had anyone ask me this until a cashier posed the forbidden question;
" Are You A Senior Sir " :bash: :bash:
Talk about a reality check, disappointing and a blow to the ego all at once :dazed:
So I was wondering about the rest of us here at SW, do you look your age, older, younger????? Do you go to lengths to capture your passing youth, age with grace, or fight it all the way?
By the way, wife says I act like I'm twenty and look like I'm sixty! :dazed:
paul yarek 04-08-2006, 05:27 PM look at my avatar, i look half my age. no blue pills here.
snow4mydooplz 04-08-2006, 06:20 PM  Wow Cory.....that would be a shocker ! Sorry that happend to you.
Just look at age as a better alternative :D
I just turned 40 last month and it got to me a little. Ok a lot !
I have a couple gray hair's starting to show right above my ear and let me tell you those were plucked fast :lookaround:
I have not been asked " the question" yet, but I'm sure my day is coming and if so, I will just simply say, why yes I am, how much of a discount do I get?? :D

JasonF 04-08-2006, 08:22 PM I got carded twice in one week a couple weeks ago, it felt real good being it was the same week as my 31st birthday :D . I even get the gray hairs, they seem to get thicker when my job gets to the more stressful part of year. :slick:

trailblazer 04-09-2006, 01:33 AM Corey, I wouldn't put too much stock in that young lady popping the wrong question.
So many people are terrrible at guessing anybody's age.
Especially young people. Anybody more than 5 years their senior are old.
More than 10 years, well they're just ancient.
I know my salt and pepper beard makes me look older than I am.
But quite frankly, I don't give a damn.
I'm shaving my head in about a month as part of a Breast Cancer fund raiser and I've never even had a brush cut. Not sure if that'll make me look older or younger.
Still comes down to we all look the way we look and you can't do much about it.
If you look older then your chronological age says you are, you've probable earned that look. Wear it proudly. Just leave them talking about how active you still are for an old fart. :D

Don't sell yourself short Trailblazer. Your the youngest looking Sixty year old I know. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Man Cory I would be crushed by that blow too but you gotta let it go. For the young people of the world everyone over 40 is old. Besides maybe she wanted to know if you were a senior in high school. Yeah, I'm goin' with that!!!!
SnoKing 04-09-2006, 11:01 AM I've been grey since my early thirties' Only time it bothered me was when I got a new V.P. of sales (as a boss) from over seas that was 5 years younger than my son. I dyed my hair before I met him. Got a lot of "woof" whistles from the females in the office. Kept dying hair for about 2 years and then said the heck with it.
Here in WI now regardless of age the ask for your I.D. when purchasing achol in a package store. That makes me feel good. Brain still says 19

lillabellelodge 04-09-2006, 06:11 PM I thought only women were concerned about their age. One time we had a customer ask how me and my dad liked running the lodge. Made me feel great but was is ever a fast trip to get hair dye for the honey
