: Track lug size?

I have a 91 Indy 500 that will eventually need a new track. *I can get a good deal on 1.25 track but I'm wondering if it will fit without any clearance problems, or do I need smaller lugs? *Thanks in advance.

If you don't run any studs, you shouldn't have any problems at all. *If you want to run studs, you could have a big problem. *The studs would hit the front heat exchanger in the tunnel. *You have one of those don't you?

I had a 90 indy 500 which I put a 1" full block track on it did touch the top of the tunnel once in a while so i drilled the holes out lower in the front of the tunnel two holes and dropped the rear bolts to the bracket that hugh under the tunnel in the rear. *Worked excellent after that no more rubbing noise also had to keep the track tighter due to the sprokets ratchiting on the front drive shaft and slipping on the track.
