I would like some general info on studding? I have a 02 ZR 800CC EFI. I weigh 220, 5'11". Usally ride trails hard and lakes fast. My sled has a 1.25 track. What size and kind and how many do I purchase? And what kind of backers do I purchase? ???

Spend some time on Woody's and Stud Boy's web sites. They both have some really good info on just about everything you need to know regarding studs. Both manufacturers make a good product. There are several good backers on the market, Studboy's Power Plates come highly recommended.

You might want to put them just down the middle, also be careful because you will have to get a 1.325" stud, more leverage for pullouts.

it makes sense to me to go more than to under stud-what would you rather lay on...a bed of nails with 60 nails or 160, more studs less support by each individual stud-makes sense to me
but to each his own

Answered this in another thread. Go 144 down the center. I have 168 right now. with some on the outside. I wish I could hang it out in the corner but she hooks too good. I am the same size as you. Same sled. I'd say do 144 down the middle then a couple on the outside later if you need them
