I have a TRA "green spring" primary on a artic cat thundercat stock 900. Artic secondary "yellow spring" I am turning good times (6.50's at 105 mph in the 1/8th) But my RPMs are only around 6500 I think Im getting that durning my burnouts. Was just wondering if thats a good power band or is 8500 right? I know if i turn my bolt screws from 2 to 6 thats worth 150 to 200 rpms per notch.
and here are my pipes

I am super interested in your questions...
...I can't provide answers, rather raise more questions for you to answer and start to eliminate some issues.
1] Who's pipes are on the engine? What brand are the pipes?
2] What year were they built?
3] What is the preload in lbs on your secondary clutch?
4] What is your belt deflection like? Loose, tight? Does the chassis creep? If you were to jack the rear wheels off the ground and have the engine idling, would the rear wheels turn?
5] What clicker do you run on?
6] What mass of flyweight do you run? [in grams]
7] What tra ramp is being used inside the primary?
8] What primary spring do you have? You say "green" this is the 280/420?

1, The pipes say aaen they came with car when it was built.
2, 1998
3, Don't really know. I know that there is score marks "Lines" that we try to line up on the secondary line it up with the # on the helix put the cover on the 3rd hole and twist to the 1st tower.
4, The belt deflection is 1 1/8 Would the rear tires turn. Have not tried that yet but I belive they would slowly. I know while idle I do creep the car a few inches so i wont burn the belt. Then sometime i have to give it a little gas to move.
5, #2 Never changed it yet.
6, Never took it apart yet to find out.
7, Was told its all stock but...
8, I was wrong its black/green Black on the outside of the spring and green on the inside.
The helix we run is a 53-51

Well changing the clicker hurt us more every click. went from 104 MPH down to 94 mph on clicker #5 From #2.
We belive we fixed the RPM promblem with resetting the poles on the tach. Its closer to RPMs now. It shows 8400.
Still going to take the TRA apart and see whats in it.
got my best 60 foot
1.42 60
4.17 330
6.08 594
6.52 1/8th mile "660"
