Quick question for those still riding MXZX chassis. I bought my 800 without the electric gas gauge in 2000/2001 season. Following year I had the electric gas guage installed because of all the night riding I tend to do.. I am finding the hole where the dealer installed the sending unit into the tank keeps leaking every 2 seaons. Has anyone else having problem with gas leaks after a unit has been installed by a dealer.
I am also wondering those who had it done from the factory having leaks as well??

No leaks on my 02.
Nor on the 99, S chassis if that matters.

It matters, I just may tear in there to see how its seals. I know they used some factor gasket that comes with the kit....

IT HAS TO BE A PLIABLE GROMMET THAT RESISTS OIL BASED LIQUIDS.

Plus the tank is plastic, epoxy doesn't harded correctly against plastic.

I was going to use a silicone called "Life Seal" used in marine industry. It is pervious to everything.
