gade attak

My 2004 Gade came with the high windshield and I think it looks ugly, and while riding a friends rev last year with the same windshield, I found that there was little protection from the wind even with the high windshield. So I want to either get the low windshield or the Ultra Low windshield that comes with either of the Skidoo riser kits.
How much more wind will I feel if I go for the really low shield? I prefer this one because the lower shield looks so much better and also comes with the J-hooks and new throttle body and killswitch. Or should I take the higher windshield and just get the rest afterwards?
Another question is, if anybody knows, is when you buy the skidoo riser kits do you get a choice in the height of the riser bar or the colour of the windshield you do get? I'm not shur how high I should go, I had a 5.5 inch rise on my formula 500 and found that it was a bit high for trail riding, but it was good for boondocking... I want to find a happy medium for the gade. I know that the mounting post is a lot lower and would probably need a pivot bar. Any thoughts on what height is good for both trail and boondocking?
