On my 1998 zr 700 my primary and secondary are shot my good performance clutches you guys think would be best

I agree, they are darn near bulletproof. Doo or Poo, can't remember which one, even offers conversions to adapt Cat secondary clutches to their sleds.

Get the newer 6 tower off a 2002+ sno pro 440, or a 2003 f5 which is worlds better then the nine tower clutch. I know theres no 98 zr 700, typo?

polaris clutches offer the same springs as your cat clutch,,, I would also go with the new 6 tower cat clutch

Make sure you get the correct taper! Not all Cat crankshafts have the same taper on the crank snout and your clutch has to have the same taper as your crank.

How did you manage to burn up a secondary??/

The 700 twins of early vintage are very hard on primary clutches, but the only thing to wear on the secondary are the rollers and the bushings...

Try RV Sports in TRF for some salvage new stuff....
