Hello i need some technical support here, might be a weird question but here goes, I look for every detail in weight reduction, so i was wondering if the ER and standard team helix's work exactly the same, if the ER wont effect a sled that doesnt have reverse if i could use it in my non reverse sled, because there is a bigger gouge cut out of the ER helix i would like to use that helix because if should be light? tell me if the ER style helix is lighter than the standard helix, and if one another wont effect performance from ER to standard,. thanks for your help

You would be better off loosing a few pounds rather then spending your money on a ER helix. Nothing personal - just calling it like I see it. The ER helixes are only a few ounces lighters then the non-ER cams. If you want to see quickers revs and track spin I would loose wight all throughout the drive system (lighter primary and secondary clutches, jack shaft, gears, and drive shaft, etc..). But that's big bucks and only worth spending if your racing for big bucks.

2 - cents...

You would be better off 10 fold by utilizing a more required helix for your application than to try and shed a few oz. or lbs. of drive train material.
In the end [for trail, off-trail] it's the clutching details that count, you'll gain efficiency by heavier parts that deliver then light parts that don't deliver.
