When I wrenched for an Acat factory rider back in the Ironman days of mixed sno-x/x-country, we used to run the setup you now run. In fact that looks like one of my old setups from the 98~99 season.

Come in from x-country race, then the 2 of us mechanics had 1 hour in a secure paddock with referree's to change everything over to sno-x AND fix whatever broken part that had to be replaced. Dave the driver would go grab a bite to eat, throw us parts over the fence to us, then once done, get ready to race the small sno-x at the end of the day. Truly an Ironman race, some guys would lose like 5 lbs during the day riding.

That x-country sled we would get 106 mph on radar. We used to go to the factory for a week and test. On Mille lac lake we would have to test the engine and get it to run w.o.t. without letting off for 30 minutes. If it blew up, had to go tow him back, tear the top end off, get another complete top end off of a pallet of top ends, install...and go give the blown one to Al Shimpa [director] so he could examine it.

man those were fun days.

Those setups will work great for 1" track on speed and 1.25 on sno-x.
