I am considering the purchase of a 1976 TNT 340 RV. Well, anyways that is what the seller claims it to be. But actually it is running a 440 LIQUIED COOLED powerplant. :huh:

Doe's anybody know what engine actually did come in this sled ? :unsure:

The '76 340 RV was a free air engine Model 345 with 336.7 cc, the RV didn't go liquid till '79 when it got the Model 354 Blizzard engine with 339.2 cc.

Got any pictures or ownership papers with it?

maybe it is a 454 rv engine. i think the the 354 bottom end was the same as the 454 so the cylinders could also be swapped. i have a 76 RV 340 engine in my 1978 blizzard 6500, which was the first liquid cooled rv chassis. it originally came with the 354. i think the engines swap right out. the exhaust exits in a different place. i have the exhaust and carbs from a 77-78 RV 340 though.

What about the 78 blizzard 6500???? It was a 354 liquid.

77 Moto-Ski was free-air as was the '78, in '79 the Super Sonic LC was liquid cooled.

Was this the sled that was on ebay?

Sorry for the late post, but I know that this engine was a free air orginally, MotoSki anyway, but if had a single pipe. that I know for sure.

I tell you what, the SR-340RV was one scary machine.

What about the 78 blizzard 6500?
